Dear Coaches and Sailors, The Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria has been working to strengthen our club as a training base for sailing, especially in the winter months. We are on an island, Gran Canaria, of which the main economic engine is tourism, allowing us to be connected daily with the main airport and ports around the world. The city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: is a cosmopolitan city that offers visitors a wide range of accommodation facilities and a choice of dining and entertainment, making a great effort to ensure all foreigners feel as comfortable as possible. Our Club, with over 100 years of existence, has magnificent facilities for the sport of sailing. The prosperity of our climate, with long hours of light and different winds, accompanied by our long experience in organizing various World and European Championships of Optimist class, Snipe, 420, 2.4, Tornado and F18, Laser, has allowed us to consolidate our position as the training base for several European teams in recent years. We understand that it is imperative that a good training base must be accompanied by a series of championships that allow the sailor facing rivals. With this idea, we created the circuit Gran Canaria SAIL IN WINTER, composed of four competitions ranging from the month of December to February. This circuit has prestige championships SEMANA OLÍMPICA CANARIA DE VELA, which this year celebrates its 18th edition or the XXX TROFEO INTERNACIONAL AECIO – for the Optimist class-, included in the Excellence Cup circuit.
