Representatives from Finland, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Sweden, Russia, England, Lithuania, France, Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary and Spain have already made their pre-registration at the XV Canary Olympic Sailing Week –El Corte Inglés Trophy , first of four scheduled races for the 2013-2014 Winter Series.
For the moment, we can confirm races for Classes Laser Standard, Laser Radial Woman and Men, 470 Woman and Men, Formula 18, Nacra 17 and RSX Woman and Men as we already have several pre-registered sailors for this first event.
KNS Club altogether with NTG School from Norway decided to come to Gran Canaria for the second year in a row. Nor Team will be represented in everyone of the Events and Classes scheduled this next winter.Just like the huge Norwegian community in the Island the Nor Team is really appreciated in our Club.

The main premise with which the project «Gran Canaria Sail in Winter» starts, is to consolidate nautical tourism from December to February. A firm commitment from the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria with the participation of the Tourist Board and the City Hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Over the years, the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria has been consolidating its presence abroad due to weather conditions one can enjoy on the island during the winter period.
Vice-Commodore of the Club, Alberto Sánchez, has been commissioned to shell what is ‘Gran Canaria Sail in Winter’. This, at first, begins to work with a website entirely in English (‘www.gcsiw.com’) that will allow foreign sailors to keep up with the club information. In this same website, everyone will easily find the Notice of Race and make the registration for the regattas.
The four races that are sheltered under the slogan ‘Gran Canaria Sail in Winter’ are the well established abroad “Canary Olympic Sailing Week-El Corte Ingles Trophy”, to be held from 4 to 8 December, the “AECIO Trophy-Regatta City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, from 26 to 29 December, the “Gran Canaria Trophy”, from 10 to 12 January and the “International Carnival Regatta”, from 21 to 23 February.
